We’ve heard stories of fellow automotive journalists accidentally filling up a diesel test car with regular gas by mistake. That must have led to some embarrassment, and of course a car that wouldn’t operate. A Super Petroleum gas station in Holbrook, Mass., got the same effect when one of its regular unleaded tanks was refilled with diesel fuel by accident. It took 45 cars breaking down for them to realize the problem, but that was after three days. Some of the cars didn’t even make it off the lot. Luckily, the jilted customers say the station is paying for the repairs.
