Singapore Grand Prix Hosts Milestone 800th Formula One Race

On Sunday, Formula One Racing held its 800th race in Singapore with the Singapore Grand Prix. 20 drivers participated, completing a total of 61 laps on the 5 km long track [which is roughly equitable to 3.1 miles] with average speeds approaching 300 km/h [186 mph]. Finishing first in the race was Fernando Alonso of Renault, with a final time of 1:57:16.304.

Gary Busey Drives A Mercedes-Benz 300D [Insert Busey Quote Of Your Choice Here]

Although the RideLust readership usually prefers blurbs about hot female celebrities and the equally hot cars they drive, I’ve exercised a little editorial oversight and included Gary Busy in our celebrity round-up. Although he probably looks better in a bikini than the present-day Brooke Shields, Busey and his retro Mercedes ride didn’t make the cut based on sex appeal but rather for possessing the unique distinction of “Most Likely To Rip Your Endocrine System Out Of Your Body.”

Spotted by paparazzi behind the wheel of his Mercedes-Benz 300D, we’d like to think Busey’s 30-year-old ride a subtle protest of Hollywood materialism, but in the interest of being realistic we’ll assume he’s probably living out of the back of it.
